Monday – Wednesday:

Plan a trip assignment.

Your destination needs to be far enough away that you need to be able to fly or take a train with multiple segments. You cannot drive.

Compare two flights or two modes of transportation.

You need to include at least 1/2 of your nights in a hotel. You may couch surf the remaining nights.

Include meals/gifts/souvenir costs

Create a google slides document (10 slides) and share it with me. If you desire you may do a stand up presentation to share your trip for extra points. 100 points.

Choose some area of interest. I’ve had people complete this work around beagles and rabbit hunting, showing cattle, working as a logger, a baker, buying fashion accessories, buying a new computer, buying and selling on ebay. selling on etsy.com, buying selling on amazon.com and many other topics that I can’t think of right now.

You need to research and create a slide show. It must contain the following:

Exactly 20 slides Each slide will auto-advance every 15 seconds.

Your job is to include as many ideas from what we have been studying since January into your presentation as possible. We want to be “wow-ed” by what you are able to incorporate into your presentation.

On Friday January 11, Monday and Tuesday January 14 and 15, we will see your presentations. You will stand in front of the class and present your research in an Ignite presentation style.

Here is how you are going to be graded on this Final Exam presentation.

Slide Show Grade

 

Points 0 1 2 3
Completion Less than twenty slides.   Twenty slides, fewer than 5 words or more than 9 words on any one slide. Twenty slides, between 5 – 9  words per slide with a graphic on each slide.
To earn the points below, your slide show must be completed
Graphics Student uses superfluous(unrelated) graphics or no graphics Student occasionally uses graphics that rarely support text and presentation. Student’s graphics relate to text and presentation. Student’s graphics explain and reinforce screen text and presentation.
Mechanics Student’s presentation has four or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors. Presentation has three misspellings and/or grammatical errors. Presentation has no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors. Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors.
Personal Finance Topics Less than 3 topics from what we have studied 3 topics from what we have studied 4 topics from what we have studied 5 or more topics included from what we have studied this semester

Elocution Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear. Student’s voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms.
